I've got the Sims 2 for my ibook G4, and I cannot eject the disk!
The Sims 2 works fine, when you try and run it, but when I press f12, the eject logo just comes up, fades away and my drive makes a whirring noise like it is about to eject it!
Also, when I try dragging the disc icon (from the desktop) to my dockbar, it says "the disk is in use, and cannot be ejected... etc" but it isn't in use!!
I've tried restarting it, but the same thing happens!!
Any suggestions?!

Restart and hold down the mouse button. That should eject the CD.

I tried this twice but it still wouldn't work. It works fine as a game, and so I think it must be some files being written from the SIMS 2 disk. Explaining why it says "The disk is in use...".
Shall I just try reinstalling the game? And will I lose all my game data?

Did you try Aspyr's solutions from the support page?
