New Mac user looking for a signal boost

I live in a condo complex and one of my neighbors is nice enough to let me borrow { /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif } their connection. The only problem is that the signal doesn't come in that well. Will any of these usb signal boosters I see for windows laptops work on my ibook?

If I am not mistaken, many use a software component on Windows and often there may not be an equivalent utility for a Mac but if it is a booster type of technology and you pick up the signal wirelessly, that ought to work fine.
