Entourage in Japan

My boss is traveling in Japan and cannot send email. He can use the internet and receive mail, but he cannot respond to anything. I have contacted Microsoft, Apple, and our server, but no one can offer a solution. Has anyone ever heard of this problem before? Do you know a solution?
