iCal and Outlook

Tried mailing an event to an Outlook user, but they couldn't see the .ics file. iCal's Help talks about importing .vcs but sez nothing about exporting in anything other than .ics.
Is there a way to share iCal events with Outlook users?

Yes there is... There is product called XC Connect from Xchange Network (www.xcnetwork.com). Allows you to create, edit, share calendar and address book data between ical, entourage, and outlook. works great. hosted version and a full-install. have fun....
