I have managed to save some files into /Volumes/LaCie Disk...
I can only ever see them when I am saving a file occasionaly with FCP or Disk Utility. I would like to delete or move them so I can edit them
They're taking up a bit of space and really annoying. I can't even seem to navigate to them with 'WhatSize' application.
I have a external LaCie drive.. could they be hidden on my Macintosh HD or the LaCie disk?
Here's a link to see a screenshot of Disk Utility that includes an example of the drive path for one of my disk images..

If you can help, then thanks very much for your time and knowledge

The files are lost or misplaced or unviewable because I cannot see or gain access to them even though I can see them when I save an FCP project or Disk Image.
Could they be in a hidden folder? How do I view hidden files in OS X?
According to the path it should be as simple as the folders sitting on the LaCie disk but they are not apparently available to gain access to.
Thanks, jodeshere

I take it that Disk Utility was used to create and mount the disk image of your files at some point. DU retains the original path for some time in an analogous fashion as finder does for the "recently used files and applications". If you puprposely delete any such files, the saved path does not automagically (I love this new word-- thank you whoever you are for coining it!) disappear. If you were to try clicking on it and if it is deleted, the application (DU) would report the correct status as "could not be found" or something along those lines... same would happen if you were to attempt launching a deleted file/application through "recently used" menu.
No mystery here, I think! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I can mount the disk image that is stored in the mysterius black hole on the LaCie drive. And also burn the DVD when I want, it is a fully functional disk image..
I also saved Larry Sanders Show series 06 from bittorrent in the same place. This was what alerted me to the mystery, as after I had completed the download and was in the process of seeding I could not find the series anywhere on my computer.
These are hidden files or unviewable files that currently exist on my drive that I cannot view or gain access to..
In the 'Volume' directory there are also 'shortcuts' or 'alias' links to my Macintosh HD, LaCie Disk and Network

Well, in that case I would suggest that you attempt a repair of the Lacie drive/volume using Disk Utility. It is possible that there is some damage that is causing this behavior. Also, you can search the file by adding the requirement to find visible and invisible files to see that if that helps.

Okay, to make things clearer here is another screenshot of the hidden files, which appeared whilst I was saving a Final Cut Pro project.
As you can see the 'Volumes' folder is slightly see through as if it is a hidden folder.
Can somebody please let me know how to access it through the finder
