I would like to convert my cd collection into mp3's to load onto an mp3 player, and don't know how to convert them into mp3's. I don't even have the choice to import the wav files from the cd unless I add them to the library. I really rather do the work on my mac then my pc, but if I can not get my cd's into mp3 files, I will need to leave the mac in the corner for a time out. Please help if you have the solution. Thanks!

Yes and no, it depends:
does the CD/music files show in Import/Convert
do I understand that your CD collection is made on a PC (as they all are wav, ordinary CDs are aiff) ?
Are those bought ? i.e. do they have some sort of copy protection ?
there are several programs that can convert wav files and many have been previously mentioned in this forum
also an article in MCW:
Better Audio Burning
there is also Audacity a free (currently Beta so it canb be unstable) program
there is Max Max
etc etc
