I have a second generation 4GB iPod Mini. I purchased it used about six months ago and I think that it is around a year old. It still works fine, but I'm wondering if I'm on the verge of some battery problems. I charged it Sunday night to full power and used it a good deal on Monday and Tuesday. I didn't drain the battery, but it was fairly low. I charged it overnight, for six hours or so. It was still charging and not full when I checked it this morning, which is what I would have expected. I've been using it this morning, but the battery indicator still shows the same amount of power from before the charge. Is this a problem?
Thanks for the help~!

You may wish to recycle it through the entire cycle of near complete discharge and full charge. At the end, with a little luck, your toy would have readjusted it self to calculate battery condition more accurately. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks for the advice.
It died on me today after only an hour or hour and a half of use. I don't know exactly how long I usually get, but it's enough to get me through two days. At least 8 hours, I'd say. So it's not just the indicator, but it apparently didn't charge somehow.

I charged the iPod mini again last night for about eight hours after the battery ran out yesterday. When I unplugged it this morning, it wasn't completely charged, but the battery light indicated probably 90% full. Just now, it died again. I've listened to it for about an hour and a half today and the battery indicator was more that 50% full. I went to change songs and I got a message saying that there was no battery power left and I should attach the iPod to a power source.
Does anyone know what might be happening? I had a 3rd gen 15GB iPod that gradually lost it's charge, but this iPod mini has gone from holding a charge for a good 6 or 8 hours on Monday and Tuesday to an hour and a half today and yesterday.

Did you try resetting it?
