Okay so heres the thing. I have a 30gb photo ipod. and a windows computer (Yes, I know. I'm getting a fancy new macbook soon. i swear). So I had about 8 gigs of music on my ipod. and then I changed computers. Moved all the music over.
When I plugged my ipod in, it said the ipod was synced with another Computer. which is true. So when I downloaded an update it asked if I want to reboot my ipod and that it would delete everything. I thought this would be a good way to start over on the new computer.
So I did exactly what it said. and then it said I have to plug the ipod into a plug and hold the menu button down for 6 seconds until it resets.
(my ipod now has a symbol on it saying to plug it into the wall socket.)'
Well, i don't have one. My ipod didn't come with one and I'm not keen on buying one for just this.
So I borrowed my girlfiends. But hers is a generation 2 ipod and still uses Firewire. But the connector to the ipod is the same. So i tried it and it restarted, but still has the symbol to plug it in. and it won't work.
Am I doing something wrong? I haven't tried using a car charger but I'm not sure.
Has anyone else had this? What can I do?
