wmv to avi?

help!
ive got a couple of 100mb wmv files i need to convert into avi (or any iDVD compatible format), does anyone know what would be a good (free) bit of software to do it?

I think you should be able to do that with Quicktime Pro. (Save the WMV file as a MOV file, then convert it to AVI.)
There are probably other ways to do it as well. I just happen to know about Quicktime Pro.

There are probably other ways to do it as well. I just happen to know about Quicktime Pro.

QuickTime cannot play or export WMV files. If you install the free WMV Player you'll be able to open WMV files in QuickTime, but in order to convert and export anything you'd need to spend $29 for the Player Pro.
