Reading VR_Movie files

I wish to copy a file from a DVD-RAM disk to my hard drive for editing. The file that I need is located in my DVD-RAM disk in a folder called DVDRTAV. The file containing the video is called VRMOVIE.VRO. I can copy all the other files from my DVD-RAM disk onto my hard drive except the .VRO file. Can the built-in Superdrive that came with my G5 read this type of file to copy?
