I booted up my computer today, and discovered that it was connected to a different network, called "piglatin." My computer has always been connected to my home wireless network caled "NETGEAR" and i assume that piglatin is being run from someone else's house. (i get about 8 networks listed under airport). Also, my internet history always says that i have visited sites that i haven't visited- like 1800flowers.com, and some michelin website. Should i be worried about this?
Thanks

I wouldn't worry about having been connected to someone else's network. Anything sensitive would have been encrypted.
As for your internet history, I think it's unrelated and I'd suspect they're just ads from some website you may have visited, but I really can't diagnose remotely.

If your network is encrypted, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
It is odd that your computer would switch preferred networks like that though.
If it isn't encrypted, one of your neighbors might be using your internet, so it might be best to encrypt it.

I have it encrypted, with a 128 bit 40 character hexadecimal passcode. Is that enough security?

Whoa yeah, that should be plenty enough security.
Unless you have something really sensitive lying around, and you feel like being really paranoid , you are just fine.

Is the encryption WEP? and did you change your login and password on the router?
I'd really find out why your computer connected to someone elses' wireless router.

That sounds like WEP, which will be enough to keep out most people, but no one that's seriously interested in getting in. However, if there are unencrypted networks nearby, then nobody is likely to seriously try to get in.
