OK ALL,
I finally had some time and I've done everything you've wanted me to. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I bought DiskWarrior. 3.0.3 version 39. 303 is appropriate because it's a big powerful rifle.
I bought 500 GB from OWC.
I partitioned into 2. 60 then the rest GB.
I looked at CCC then SuperDuper and found my brain liked SuperDuper. M, just the way my wires get crossed./forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I haven't bought it yet but will.
I did follow ALL the advice so I've tested each HD with a boot from the DW cd, checked for a clean boot from the clone, perfect, YEA. Then the Internal again, perfect. thanks M.
So thanks all from an un-geek.

Good going -Peter on your backup plan.

That takes quite a long time to boot from the CD ehh?
Just a minor suggestion, which I think you would do in the near future anyway. Is to install DW on your HDs so when you boot from either/or you can run DW on either/or w/o CD booting. Its faster, but I think you know that from the posts. You can install DW on your internal HD, and re-clone, or install DW on your external HD. And up above is the path -Mark left behind to change DW's .aiff file so it won't 'quit' at the end of doing it's Rebuild of the directory. That was very annoying.. at least at this end.
Thinks -Peter has been 'geekerized'

Thanks for the vote of confidence Doug, but I think I'll stay the ungeek and just do what I'm told. hehehe
But I will say I am learning, (just a little) but still learning. That's a good thing.:)

Peter
edit] OH, I did load DW onto the drives.
