ibook problem

my screen acts strange sometimes, when it is in certain positions, a horizontal line appears in the middle of the screen. Does anyone know whats wrong?

Sounds like a bad video wire. In the iBooks, the video wire runs through the hinge. Over time, the repeated opening/closing of the screen wears out the wire and strange things happen with the screen.
Also, it could be a sign of the dreaded "logic board problem" that plagues a good percentage of iBooks. But it probably isn't.
