Has anyone gone over to www.pocketpcthoughts.com where they have a poll going about syncing a mac with a PPC. Also, one of the writers just bought an ibook and asked for any pointers.

PocketPCthoughts is a great site to check out anyway...

Rick,
I'd use it - prior to my switch I used both a Palm and a Pocket PC. My Jornada 560 sits and waits to be returned to service.

Greetings. I'm new here. I am switching. I have an iPAQ I really like and use constantly. I had hoped the Pocket Mac software would work okay.
Has anyone used the version they're shipping now?
I'm still switching no matter what. But I wonder if I might need to get a Palm OS PDA at the same time. I've really come to rely on a PDA.
All the best.

Yeah I would...I think they're cool, especially since they're powered by Intel's processors. But if Apple came up with a PDA of their own, then for sure I would buy one. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I would certainly love an Apple PDA, but why not provide conduits for PocketPcs? Why prevent Mac users from being part of that market? Even Apple made a Windows version of the iPod.
I have an iPaq that's getting closer and closer to eBay with each passing day.
Sad but true.

Life would certianly be easier if there were Mac conduits, but since none exist at this time, other than PocketMac, which is getting mixed reviews, I am using Virtual PC with the iPaq sofware and Now Up To Date & Contact in the Windows version. My office server uses NUDC in the Mac version, but transfers the data to the Windows client on my desktop computer (G4 Dual) with no problem. I sync my iPaq just like I would if I was using a PC. Anyone else out there using the Virtual PC solution to this problem? I have, and still use occasionally, a Palm m505, but the iPaq 3975 is a far superior machine, and to this point has not been a problem with the battery life. Has anyone else had any problems or success with the Virtual PC approach?

I would try PocketMac if it weren't $70! That's just too rich for what it does. Bring it down to $30 or even $40, and were talking.
