In my opinion the search on Macworld.com is almost totally useless and the website doesn't look like it's changed in the years it's been online from a usability perspective.
I recently did a search for
mac mini 1.2 upgrade
reason being I picked up a second Mini to replace my wife's G3 iMac and wanted to upgrade the memory. I remember seeing a "how-to" in the magazine a while back, thinking it would be faster than digging through my printed Macworlds - boy was I wrong.
After 10 pages (all which had the same referenced links in the first 2 or 3 positions I decided to limit it to Jan 2001 - Jan 2004. I still got articles from 2005! Even articles about upgrading Powerbooks before any reference to upgrading the 1.2 - which I gave up on after not finding any after 15 pages.
As much as people use your website it's a shame it's only useable for the most current information.

After another round of searching I did find the article on the third page of a search with "Mac mini" limited to mar-apr 2005 after viewing the Past issues order page with photos of the covers. Previously I searched in 2004, 2005, all months.

I could have rifled through my stacks of print magazines but I like a challenge.
Macworld.com already has the content and what looks like a good online file system but it lacks a depth and simplicity of usability - which the technology does exist to provide - if only someone there would be creative and implement it.

some ways, I liked the old boards better.. but somewhere, the PTB decided an upgrade to this was in order.
there are alotta tricks to learn for a fruitful search.
just learning the tricks can be somewhat daunting.
grinding em down with persistence seems to be the best tho /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
