Hi there,
I figured that architects and interior designers must use a certain type of software to show clients in advance what a house, shopping center, landscaping job, staircase, house interior etc... will look like before the work is actually done (or the building erected). I just rented an empty warehouse to be converted to a home. I took some photos of the space and also of the garden. I would like to use software that allows me to let's say add a stairway, make it look like wood, add a
window, add a wall inside, change the color of the wall, add furniture, add
a skylight, etc. Can anyone tell me what this category of software is called and
suggest Mac software that is easy to use? Thank you for your suggestions

While I don't work in architecture, I believe one of the more user friendly software packages in use is SketchUp. It takes a bit to learn, but I know it can be used to do virtual home design, soup to nuts.
