I looked up Mr. Bartosh on Google, and came across his company's Web site:
http://www.4am-media.com/
Talk about a life interrupted--the site seems current as of June 2006, with no updates of any kind beyond that (per the earlier story, he apparently died in mid-June). What a shame. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Just to correct a mistaken impression, Michael informed the MacEnterprise mailing list serveral months before his death that O'Reilly decided not to proceed with publication. Most of the list readers have his Panther book, and were disappointed at this news.
I can confirm that, busy as he must have been, he freely gave of his expertise on the list. Although I would have loved the published book, it's great to have this ebook available, as he was a master.
