With yesterdays new ipod announcement, the new ipods support playback of 640 x 480 H.264 videos. I have been unable to succesfully convert a video at this quality that the ipod will support. Here is what Apple's website says about the newly supported formats. "Video formats supported: H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Low-Complexity Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 768 Kbps, 320 by 240 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats." What am i doing wrong? PLEASE HELP. PS i downloaded a video with the new resolution standard from the iTunes store and its freaking AMAZING.

are you trying to change the resolution of your current files? If that is the case, it won't work because the videos are pixle based. Think of it like a photoshop graphic, the larger you make it the more it looks bad.
I am in the process of redoing my divx HD files that I had already converted down to the original 264 format. If that is what you are doing, then download iSquint and adjust the settings and it works fine.
