Hi everybody
I work on a PB G4 and link wireless to a Network that's made of 2 PCs and 2 Printers. Everything worked fine until yesterday.
Suddenly, I can't print to any of the Printers anymore, regardless from which program I try. I can still mount the shared PC-Volumes though. Even creating the Printers again with the Printer Utility works. Also from my second User in OS X I actually can print. So the fault seems to be somewhere in my User-level settings, but I have no idea where. Can somebody help me please?

This is kind of on the level of "are you sure it's plugged in" but it has to be asked: Are you sure the printer you're trying to print to is the one that has been selected for the print job you're trying to run?
Beyond that, some more detail might help. What happens when you try to print? How far through the process does it fail? Like does the job never make it to the queue, or is it in there but never actually coming out of the printer? If the printers are shared, rather than standalone, are any error messages coming out on the host machine?

Thanks for replying so fast.
Yes, print job selection and printer are the same. I'm 100 percent sure, that the hardware setup is OK, because all I have to do to print is change the user in OS X to the one I use at home and everything works just fine.
The print job never makes it to the queue, in fact, no matter what application I use (I tried InDesign CS1, Safari, Notes, TextEdit), the error messages turn up right after the printing process starts. The printer icon never shows up in the dock. The error messages themselves are very generic. My System is in German, but it basically says "Can't print because of unknown error".
The printers are shared, but neither the host machine nor the printer show any sign of anything. Again, when I change user, I can print just fine. The whole thing is really strange, I think.
Anyway thanks for trying to help, if you have any more ideas, bring 'em on please.

What did you do "yesterday?"
Did you install something.....system crash, kernal panic.....you did "something"...that is why it changed.
Think about it for a minute....what did you change?

Thanks for your advising words. I know I did "something". The thing is, I've been using Macs since OS 6 and I've never been so sure, I didn't do "something".
It's been 3 weeks now and I haven't found a solution to this. I deleted and created the printers again and agian. I deleted the com.apple.--.print.plist files from library/preferences. I of course did the standard "fix rights" thing. Nothing helped.
The problem must be somewhere on the "user"-level, since the other accounts on my mac actually can print.
So let's say, my kernel panicked or whatever. What would you suggest I should do?
I hope there is something else apart from reinstalling everything from scratch, 'cause I would just hate that. Feels so windowsesque.
Thanks for any hint.
