Could someone help me find a suitable site for sharing photos online. I can't find one that works for my eMac. What are the must-haves on my computer in order to upload pics successfully?

flickr is a good free option.
.Mac is okay, but you'll have to pay to use it.

Must-haves? Sorry, but my answer would be 1) Photos to share, 2) webspace or a suitable service and 3) an internet connection.
That said, I am using smugmug which costs but has never let me down (PM me if you need a coupon for 5$ off /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
What are exactly the problems you are facing? The possibility of sharing photos should be independently from your computer.

I'll second the vote for Flickr. I recommend the Pro account. For a mere $25 a year, you get a ton of cool extras (and 2 GB upload per month).

Smugmug and Kodakgallery.com have dedicated Mac OS X bulk uploader utilities. Yahoo Photos has a bulk uploader plug-in for Firefox that works on the Mac.
The free options all have one annoying limitation or another. You get what you pay for. I agree with the others...try flickr or Smugmug.
