Martin,

I'm assuming you need to use this for reasearch purposes. Like university lectures recorded to mp3? Yeah, well, Limewire (www.limewire.com) is great for that. Of course, it unfortunately makes it possible for you to illegally download just about every song ever recorded, but we know you wouldn't do that. Good luck w/your research.

I find limewire for OS X to be very slow on my new iBook 700. Any others?

Here are a couple of programs that you MUST NOT USE to steal music :

- Aquisition (Gnutella)
- Spunix (audio galaxy)
- LimeWire (Gnutella)

Of course I would never use it myself but a close fried (one of the voices in my head) told me that Sputnix sucks lately because all songs he really wants to download are barred by default. What's up with that?

limewire is definitely a little slow, but i'm going to guess that its because its a java app. java applications tend to react a little slowly... its certainly noticeable w/limwire's interface, but otherwise the program does what i want.
