Linksys Router

HELP- i can't connect my macbook to the linksys wireless and NO ONE FROM LINKSYS CAN HELP. I have a PC hardwired to the router but my macbook can not connect. It can see the ssid from the airport and i get a signal..but no internet connection! Can anyone help??

What IP address is your MacBook reporting?

A reply! - its not giving me any ip address! - and i have no idea what and where to even put one

Interesting. Is the MacBook set to use DHCP?

I use Linksys and haven't had a problem. 2 macs 1pc. Plug and Play. "All hard wired"
I did hook everything up through the Mac.
Linksys You'll find your DHCP there.
Once your in there others will help.

hi .. in the TCP/IP .. confi is set to DHCP
the ip is blank
subnet -blank
I hit the renew lease button, nothing
* if i go under the airpot tag, the airport has and ID..
still need help as i have one day left before i can return this thing!

Is there any place near you that has free wifi that you know works? If you have an Apple Store near you, that would be ideal.

actually, when i first brought home the macbook. all i did was turn it on and i had internet connection-i just moved and the location doesn't have a signal, so i picked up the router..very frustrating

I would double check it now to make sure that something hasn't gone wrong since you first got the MacBook.

well the saga continues....airport now says im connected to my linksys network and connected to the internet. however, i can't open a webpage. i manually input the standard ip address..im wondering if there is some other ip address i should be putting in?

PROBLEM SOLVED- returned the LINKSYS and bought the NETGEAR - no problems what so ever.. thanks everyone for your feedback!
