The link is wrong in the article. It opens an emoty server folder in the finder. Here is the correct link:

It opened up a blank window (in Safari), but within a few seconds Transmit came up and I was inside. So the link woked for me.

Running it right now! There was even a new version of Adblock ready and waiting to auto-install during the first launch. They seem to have fixed a lot of the minor annoyances, like the random bold text I would sometimes see. It's very snappy as well. The only remaining weirdness is double-click text selection, which when dragged out, still only selects by letter instead of by word. But I think I will try this as default browser for a while and see how it goes.

There's one annoying change in this new version. They've changed the default button on the Secure Certificate alert popup to "Cancel" instead of "OK". As a website adminstrator, I go into numerous secure screens and control panels every day, all of which pop up this alert. I'm used to just hitting the return key to get past it. It's an annoyance to have to use the mouse every time now to hit "OK". I'm sure this is for "security" reasons, but why is there not a preference to let users decide which button should be the default?

Unfortunately most users are not using transmit to download from FTP servers. If it is a direct link, as opposed to a link to a folder, then Safari should handle and download it. If not then whatever is registered as your FTP helper is what will open, finder by default, which mounted a volume that had nothing in it...

I haven't tried that yet but does pressing the "Esc" or first letter of button or Command+first letter work to hit the non-default button? Works in some other apps.

Oops, I spoke too soon. Firefox 2.0 still makes some standard text appear bold on random occasions. What a lame bug to last all these years.
Still seems mostly ok for release. No show stoppers.
It would be nice if Firefox's FORM elements could finally move into the anti-aliased 21st century. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

"Esc" is the same as cancel, so that's no help, and neither first letter of button nor Commandfirst letter do anything.
