I want to buy a macbook pro and im wondering what processor to get. Im using it for alot of gaming, alot of school stuff, and i was wondering if the 2.33 ghz was necessary for someone whos not doing any serious editing or anything. I also noticed that the 2.33 has 2 gb of ram. is 1 gb fast enough for gaming?

Hi
You'll likely notice a big enough difference with just the upgraded RAM ( 1GB vs 2GB ) but the CPU speed will also give you a little higher framerate.

You're wanting faster working or gaming ?
Will you notice a 7% processor speed increase.
Unless you're using regularly Final cut or do a lot of Photoshop editing, it's improbable.
There is so much other factor to figure, and the architecture is otherwise the same for both machine.
For gaming, it's a bit more significant, and the graphic card also play a big role. The 2.33 GHz also has more graphic memory: 256 vs 128.
And you can command a 2.13GHz MBP with 2G of ram for 175$ more from Apple (and probably less from a 3rd party vendor if you're a do it yourself type).
You just have to decide how much you're willing to pay for better gameplay.
