Every year, we ask several experts to predict what the next 12 months will bring us in terms of products and innovations across the Mac landscape. But we also want to hear what you think is on the horizon. [more]

a new iSight camera: i know the imac and laptops have them all built in but there's still a market for them. i have a mac pro and want to pick one up. seems like almost everyone is sold out of them.... apple.com seems to be the only place with them in stock. maybe a new version is in the works or apple is slowly killing it.
iTunes Movie store expanding beyond Disney
iPhone: obvious rumor. but i think it's going to be more like a treo then the ipod phone that everyone thinks it's going to be. like a newton phone.
Aperature 2.0
Cheaper RAM prices for mac pro (wishful thinking /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif )
.Mac finally adding a SPAM filter (for the love of god apple, add a spam filter to the .mac mail!)
iPod games playable on your mac (maybe through a new version of front row)
BootCamp 2 or would that be BootCamp 1 since it's still a beta: it would be like Parallels built into Leopard OS 10.5 - maybe not the actual parallels program but something that will allow you to run windows at the same time instead of only being able to boot in one OS at a time
wireless iPods that can actaully connect to a wi-fi network unlike the zune.

i have a hard time seeing that right now. current blu ray players are $1000+ (besides the PS3).... and those are just players.
is there a blu ray player/burner AND cdr/dvdr super super drive available? a blu ray drive would be nice but if it only reads and doesn't write to all formats then what would be the use?

How about Photoshop for the Intel Mac?! That's one of the reasons I haven't bought a new Mac yet (that and I don't have the money right now /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif).
I am sure they'll release it in 2007, but I hope it's not TOO far into the next year.

Increased market share; currently 6%. Up to 8%.
A significant update to Front Row.
and Mac related only because it narrows the field, but...
A major computer manufacture closes or is bought out. Probably a eMachines/Gateway buyout/merger; Or X-Company and Hewlett-Pakard.
Either that, or...
Steve Wozniak buys HP and makes HP the first company to licence the Apple OS.

Apple probably doesn't want to be in the business of selling toxic goods. It can't even sell iSights in the UK anymore. Hopefully, there is another better version in the works that eschews the toxic components.

Of course.

I agree completely. Palm has fallen down on the job. The latest PDAs lack much to be desired, and I have no doubt that Apple can blow them all away. I would love to see a rollout similar to the iPod. Integrating with Macs and Apple apps and slowly broadening into a Windows market. I don't want to wait until it integrates with Windows.

There's no spam filter? I don't get any. Seems odd that spammers are targeting my employer but not .Mac. Maybe it's a very conservative spam filter?

BootCamp will always boot into windows. For one thing it is necessary for gaming (and using a Zune apparently). For another, there are two vendors with very good solutions. Finally, I don't want Apple spending resources making Windows run better.

That would be the iPhone.

Windows Vista trying everything to NOT work on the Mac.
And Apple wouldn't care less
A preview of OS X 10.6.
Quad-Core CPU in a laptop with 8GB RAM limit. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Even slimmer MacBook. Although I doubt it to be physically possible.
NO iPhone in 2007.
2GB Shuffle for the same price and 120GB touch-screen iPod with virtual click-wheel. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Apple Phone - although there are many people against this, I think the load of rumors, patents and now the slip from the manufacturing company all point to the fact an Apple Phone will become reality. And let's face it, the phones we have now pretty much such in terms of UI. Apple could reinvent the phone industry the same way it did with the music players in 2001.
Adobe CS3 & Office 2007 for Mac: Universal, finally!
iLife and iWork '07: duh...
Major iMac redesign: yes, it's the perfect desktop architecture, but isn't it a little long in the tooth? It seems the iMac is the forgotten member of the Mac family - the Mac Pro, MacBooks, and Mac minis get all the attention. Bring something exciting to the table...
True video iPod: Will we ever see it? I'm not so sure...

I can see them killing the external model and making it a feature of their standalone displays (another way to justify the Apple price).

I think they might release two models, the Newtonesque one wont be released till later next year, though.

.Mac has a spam filter, more spam has been showing up lately because spam mail as a whole has jumped quite a bit the last 6 months. What I want is more control over the spam filter in regards to my account.

Mac Pro's with Blu-ray @ MacWorld Expo '07 as a BTO option. They have that empty optical drive bay, and why fill it with 2 superdrives when you could have a BD in one and a super drive in the other.
