I heard before that after so many charges your ipod battery dies and you would have to replace the whole ipod. Is this true? And if so, how long does an ipod last.
Also what is the average battery life of the New Nano's? I know what apple is saying but what is the real battery life?
Thanks

when the ipods first came out apple stated that the batteries were not replaceable. don't know if that was ever true but it is definately not true today. i've replaced the one on my 3rd generation. none of the models are easy to replace, however some models are easier than others. how long will it last? who knows. things break. things wear out. things can be replaced. ipods haven't been out there long enough to get a real gauge as to how long they can last. one thing's for sure though, if you take care of it and don't abuse it it will last longer.
