iMac Firmware Problem?

I recently updated my Intel Duo Core 2 1.83 Ghz iMac to Firmware 1.1 and it was sucessfully updated. But my iMac is running unexceptionally slow. The startup takes twice as long andsome of the programs are starting to freeze. Safari usually starts in about 3 seconds, now it takes almost a minute. I've tried cleaning my system and emptying my caches using MacHelp and OnyX and im still not sure about what to do.

Hi
I don't know if this is a bug but it happened with both of the firmware updates to my MacBook. It goes away after a few restarts but is most certainly annoying [and strange]. I didn't figure out any correctable means except waiting it out.
