I have been getting album covers by hand of late, having found no satisfactory, free alternative and not having a credit card. I have noticed that when you are listening to music on shuffle, the playlist jumps about going to each song that plays. Is there a way to disable this? I would prefer the list to be stationary while I am attempting to edit information on audio files. I couldn't find an option in the preferences panes so I came here.
Thanks everyone

It don't seem to have a way to do that. When changing the tune that play, iTune insist to jump to it (even if not in shuffle mode). When I did the album import (even with iTune Store enabled, some album are not available from Apple) I didn't played music from iTune ! (I know, it's a bit paradoxal to have to do this long task in silence). Maybe listen to your iPod when doing it /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
