A tribute, no doubt, to the pitiful state of gaming on a Mac.

This is such a great deal I can't resist. I've been holding off on buying Pangea Arcade & Enigmo 2 for a long time, and Pop-a-tronic and Platypus are fun too. I've never played the others but hey they might be fun too. Oh wait, I'm supposed to be giving this as a gift to someone else? /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

At the risk of being a grinch /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif, who are these games intended to reach? There is a clay animation game, another a poker game, another a pre-school test.
I started downloading the demos and found I had one hour to play each. Fair enough. I opened one, played, and moved to the next game. Oops, the card game wanted to communicate with a server somewhere so I quickly unplugged my internet connection. Then under the alert was a way to turn off the connection.
The card game was very mouse intensive. I had to move to a smaller screen because my mousepad was not big enough for the movement.
The brain game had a talking head but no sound. The instructions were in a balloon. It was labeled a pre-school game but players are expected to read. Interesting.
So, pardon my ignorance as a game newbie, if I buy this digital download set which seems to be a good value, can I burn all of them to a CD/DVD and load them only when the mood strikes? Can I share them with family members on multiple CDs/DVDs? Are they locked to my Powerbook so I have to give up time on my computer so the family can play or do I load them in an old(er) imac as a stand alone game machine? How do I manage game storage? Is there some sort of iGames software like iTunes manages music? Can I just load them all on an external drive, boot from that drive, and play from that drive on any Mac? /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Are all games universal now so anything I buy can be used on my current PB and also later when I upgrade to an Intel offering next year?
Merry Christmas /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Since I am already off work and out of school for Christmas I ordered the bundle from Macgamestore. Please note that while the bundle price is offered until Christmas, the download details and access keys are not offered until Christmas day. Apparently I don't get to open my Christmas present early!
I do have a baked Christmas chicken, a bottle of wine and the video It's a Wonderful Life I can start on early.
Merry Christmas

If I didn't know better, I would think there was a little sneer there. Oh well, Merry Christmas to you as well.

I don't know how many of these bundles were sold. Macgamestore should know and could have provided sufficient server download bandwidth. My dls are running 10kbs to 20kbs. Holiday joy.
