Hi all, Have a new imac tiger... just pluged-in my shuffle...(apple ?) the ipod "my name" is synced with another itunes library. Do you want to erase this ipod and sync with this itunes library? I choose cancel because I don't want to erase what I have. Ok...so now I go to itunes... with me so far... when itunes opens up my shuffle does not appear at all. There is no ipod icon showing my ipod shuffle is pluged-in???
What can I do to be able to see my shuffle so that I can start anthing to do with my shuffle???

Hi Bob,
Shuffle shows in itunes says updated complete OK to disconnect.. I unplug and hear nothing (using my and my daughters headphones)...no sound... My shuffle worked fine up until I had it connected to my new imac. My ipod shows in itunes and the songs are on there but when I unplug its like I have no songs on it at all. By the way I have restored, reset and updated to the latest version of everthing on my ipod. (restored 3 times) no sound....????? Please help....

Well, I'm no Shuffle expert, but, let's look at the obvious things first. The fact that your Shuffle shows up in iTunes is a good start and also good is that you can see your music listed on the Shuffle.
Next, on the back, the slide switch is turned on right? Then, also on the back, when you press the little long rectangle under the slide switch, the battery indicator comes on? If that checks out, let's go back to the front side. When you push the center button, does the green indicator light come on? Is the volume turned up? (Top button on the scroll circle.)
When I listen to mine, it's often when I'm in bed before I go to sleep. So, when I'm ready to stop listening, I just hit the center button once to go to 'pause'. The green light blinks for a while, but, I just set the Shuffle and headphones aside. When I go back to listen again, I have to push the center button twice to get music again. When things are working correctly, pushing the center button during 'play' gives me the blinking light.
Do you see any of these sequences on your Shuffle? Other than these ideas and thoughts, I'm tapped out. Good luck! Bob.
