Hello, I have had my iPod 5g for a little over a year now, and it has been a dream except tonight I was switching my music libraries from my 17" MBP to my Mac Mini to have more space on my MBP. But when I connected my iPod to the Mac Mini after I his reset to the iPod froze. So I clicked the Select Button and the Menu button to reset it, then the screen when black and it hasn't turned on since.
Please Help
- Steve

My 4G iPod did something similar. The cable inside had come loose. I could take it and smack the bottom straight down on something like a stack of paper that was hard but not too hard and it would work for a little while. I ended up opening the case and pushing the cable back in and it has been great ever since.
If you are still under AppleCare protection and can get to an Apple store I would take it back to them and let them do the case cracking though.

Try placing your iPod on a flat surface and reseting. If that doesn't work, try recharging then hooking to your mac and reinstalling the iPod software (might erase your music).
