Merging 2 libraries on external HD

Hi, I just can't find any answer for this question: Is there a way to merge 2 existing iTunes libraries from 2 different Mac (G4 at home + g5 at work) to an external hard drive I could carry from one Mac to the other?
I know how to add mp3s from one Mac to the other with the "Add To Library" command, but I want to keep all the metadata of my 2 librairies (artwork, ratings, equalizer, play counts, etc.). And the consolidation option don't merge many files from many librairies but only many files from one library.
