As soon as I can afford a PS3 I will buy one. I don't buy all the doom and gloom and FUD. I wouldn't be surprused if 50% of the anti-PS3 stuff came out of Redmond.
I REALLY want Blu-Ray. The fact that it's the same price, sometimes even cheaper than the current crop of BR players, and it comes with a leading edge gaming system is a bonus.

It's worth the price of admission. It's a great system. It's whisper quiet and it's supposed to be a better BD player than most of the single-use units on the market.

It seems that the Wii makes people WANT to jump around. If you spend the day loading boxes at work that might not be good, but if you sit at a desk all day (in school or work) then it is a very good thing. Looking silly is just growing pains - the point of a game is that you loose yourself in it and only think of the game.

The reason you are playing your Wii constantly is because you don't have either of the other two systems, I would bet that if you did you would catch the image quality fever, like I have, and you'd spend more time playing the other two even though you find the Wii to be more "fun".

What is the point of owning a videogame if not for fun? With all the HDTV going around, what is the fastest growing media source right now? YouTube! That proves that content will beat sharpness every time. If sharpness was all that mattered, then people would peel their eyes away from their screens and look at the infinite resolution of real life.

Doubtful. The 360 has by far the least buzz of the new consoles. All the discussions I hear are Wii vrs PS3. While the 360's early launch has given it the biggest games lineup for now, (quite important) the console itself has a "more of the same" feel to it. This risks the '360 falling victim to "sequel-itus", whereas the PS3, and especially the Wii are in much better positions to launch titles that really feel new.

The hardcore gamers, not the fanboys, aren't going to make the Wii their first system purchase.

I'm a fanboy. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

A Nintendo fanboy?
Were you a fanboy before the Wii or now that you have one?

I actually abandoned Nintendo during the Gamecube years, opting for a PS2.
When it came times to buy a Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3, I went Wii and have been totally happy with that purchase.

Well, it's amazing timing. There's a video.
Check out the guy showing the wrist flick technique as well as some other methods.
