I like to transfer some important emails from one machine to another, and with 2 Panther units this was never a problem. I'd create a "Transfer" mail box, copy the key notes into it, close out, and go to User/Library/Mail/Mailboxes and put the "Transfer" mail box file on a flash drive. It would be copied to the same place in the 2nd computer, and when that Mail program was opened up, there it was.
BUT, I just got a MacBook Pro with Tiger, and this refuses to work. When I try to copy the "Transfer" mailbox to the new MacBook, the emails won't go with the mail box (whose icon does show up, but not all the contents.) Why is that? Anyone have a work-around? I'd be grateful....
