Ok...how about this...
Can you sync one address book mail list from one Mac to another without .mac??
Can you even sync separate address lists (like a Mac Friends address book) at all, with anything??
I have specific address sub-lists I use on one Mac and would like to sync that list with another mac. Or do i have to re-create the whole thing??
Suggestions??

You could try using FileSync. I use it to keep some select folders sync'd between my home and work machines.
Assuming the accounts on both machines are the same (at least same short name), then just make ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook on the G5 the Master folder, and the same folder on the MacBook the Copy folder.

Filesync only need be installed on one machine (which one does not matter). The other volume(s) can be mounted from anywhere - network shares, external devices (USB Flash drives, external hard drives) - anything really, as long as it shows in Finder.
I keep my copy of the Filesync app on my powerbook. When I have the powerbook at work, I turn on file sharing on my G5, mount it on my powerbook, and then run file sync. My "Master" folder is actually a folder on the G5, and the "Copy" folder is on the powerbook (since I'm wanting to keep my shared work files on the powerbook sync'd with my main work machine, the G5). But Filesync only cares that it can see the respective folders/volumes when you run it, it makes no distinction based on where it is run from.

I think Filesync would be fine with a bluetooth setup, if the remote device is browsable in finder. I know it even works will with remote secure shares (has a panel to enter share volume, server address, user name and password). Basically any mass storage device/volume that can be mounted or remotely browsed in Finder can be used with FileSync, including FTP sites accessed via Finder. And, it is free - the author does have 3 other shareware apps, but FileSync is his freebee.

Keep in mind that you need to be vigilant about syncing after making any change on either computer. If you make changes in both places and then sync, you're doing to lose some data.

What would we do without you watching over us??? /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I have made a conscience decision to only input new data into my tower...and update my MacBook.
Thanks...
