fixed my issue with slow thruput on my mbp 2.0 CD with the broadcom 4321 802.11 b/g/a/n card. before i got max 4-5mbit thruput, now i'm back to 28-30mbit on my 802.11g network. i had to switch back to the atheros 5004 original wifi card in order to fix this until this update came along;-)

i only use airport expresses
are there not similar issues that i should need to update? or does this refer to only the n portion of the airport?

all airports should update...
theh security issue is the one that needed updating badly...

This isn't for the base stations. This is for the "AirPort Extreme" network cards in Intel-based Macs.

This update introduces a serious bug that prevents many Airport Extreme users (Macbooks and Macbook Pros) from connecting to third-party wireless )non-Apple) routers that have WPA enabled. D-Link and Linksys routers seem to be widely affected. There is apparently no fix other than turning off wireless security. This is ironic particularly since Apple calls this a "security update". If you are one of these users, you should NOT install this updgrade if you wish to be assured of wirelss connections to third=party routers.
