I'm not sure you can (request a "Received/Read Receipt") get Mail to do that. I seem to recall that being one of the missing items when I gave up on it.
I can tell you how to do it in Entourage. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif If it's possible in Mail, I guess I'm gonna learn something, too.

then again, many email clients do not support that feature.
so regardless that you may have it checked, my ISP just ma not send a reply that I either received it or opened it.

Gonna leave my mistake in view and admit ignorance. Right after my last post, I remembered that I hadn't ever, to my recollection, asked for a "read receipt" or similar through Entourage, though I have done so through my previous place of employment's GroupWise system. So I searched around within Entourage and couldn't find any obvious way to do it in there, either.
So. . . .I shall sit in the corner and eat my humble plate of crow. Sorry 'bout any confusion.

tis OK.... Outlook with Corporate allows that, along with other "internal" email clients, Novel being another.
