EMI has rights to The Beatles! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
EMI is the label that has the Beatles. I don't know how MacCentral... Cough.... MacWorld missed that.
It could be just about EMI, and DRM, but I would think it has to be the Beatles.

While we're at it, why not wish for a widescren iPod with all of their collection and music videos on it. Only $600!

I'd go for that.
Maybe they'll release Leopard tomorrow with a Beatles screen saver and wallpaper. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif That would be slendid. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Seriously though, they just may annouce DRM free music as Jobs posted his thoughts on DRM publicly. He said that the music labels required it and Apple would have no problems selling DRM free music if the labels let them.

Good point - but when last did Mac-Central post on Sunday?
FYI
A live Webcast of the event, which will feature "a special live performance," will be available at http://www.emigroup.com beginning at 1 p.m. local time in London (8 a.m. EDT). (1200 GMT).
If this is a spoof, a whole lot of folks will not be amused by the waste of their time.
There will not be a Beetles announcement so presumably this is all about DRM.
Get up early guys - you may just catch the webcast.
