Hi!
I have a new iMac with Safari and Intel Processor, running with Mac OS X (10.4.9).
Am trying to watch a virtual tour from a realtor page online, but all I get is the following message:
"This page has content of MIME type video/x-ms-wmv, but you dont have a plug-in installed for this MIME type. A plug-in should be available on this page:
http://www.microsoft...oad/default.asp
Do you want to open the page?"
...so when I click on "yes", it takes me to microsoft which promts me to choose and download one of their softwares. But all I need is a little plug-in, right???
I guess my question is: Do I have to download Windows Media Player or another software in order to see the tour or is there another way?
Thanks!

My guess is that you will need either WMP or Flip4Mac (which is on the Micorsoft site) to view the tour. And even then it may or may not work. When you install WMP it will install a browser plugin. WMP is no longer being updated by Microsoft for Mac, however. Instead you are supposed to use Flip4Macs plugin that will let you play Windows Media files in Quicktime. It does not work with everything, though, but it is free and support seems to be adequate at their site. It has been quite some time since an update.
