Accessing files on imac from pc over the intenet?

The subject says it all really. This is what I have done already.
On the imac I have enabled FTP access, the firewall is switched off. I have set up a seperate user account for my brother to access FTP.
On the Airport Extreem I have enabled FTP in the NAT, ensuring the IP address is correct for the imac.
On the PC my brother has attempted accessing this FTP connection but is unable to connect.
Have I forgotten something or do I need to do something else?
If you can help I would be much obliged.

You didn't say, so I ask -
Your brother has your internet address (not the local IP address)?
