That's funny since that's what I would say about you and After Effects based on your comments about pre-comps /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif There's nothing at all difficult or mystifying about pre-comps. There's a lot of good tutorials out there, easy to find. It's just interacting with your process tree at ground level rather than an overhead view.
Check out motionographer.com for inspiration. On the left is a list of studios and individuals that are worth checking out. Lots of AE work.

I spent my entire lunch trying to locate a gallery of Motion work but couldn't find any. It is impossible to tell from the NAB 2007 reel whether any of those clips used Motion other than the open/close. Most of it seems to be FCP and some of it I know is Shake. If you know of a great Motion reel of broadcast/film work, I'd love to see what it can do.
