"The easiest way to share files is via a USB key."
Not if your files are 11+ GB each (HDV video). Just stating the obvious, but USB sticks have their limits. MacDrive is the better solution for anything big.

Here's how I am sharing my NTFS BootCamp partition on OSX (via my blog post)...

1. Download the latest MacFUSE Core DMG file and restart
2. Download the latest NTFS-3g + MacFUSE Tools (and Uninstaller if you want) from
Filling the Gap NTFS-3g page
3. Plug-and-play with your external. It should show up mounted automatically. If not, do a quick restart.

Thanks for the great tip! I'll have to give it a try. How reliable is NTFS writing with MacFUSE?

The only thing Real Estate people have to have is access to the multi-state data base. This may change soon, or may have recently changed, but for the longest time online access to the data base relied on Active X, which only worked in Explorer. When the decision was made back around the time the original iMac came out, many Mac users complained, but it did not make a difference. There are other real estate programs that only work on Windows, but the only needed ones have Mac replacements.

In a real estate environment Internet Explorer & windows xp is demanded for many interactive web sites and specific software applications that are designed for Windows & IE only.

Ah yeah I've read this before. Sounds like ActiveX maybe, which is obsolete and unsafe. Someone should educate the real estate website developers about standards-based coding...
