Apple on Wednesday reported a $770 million profit for the fiscal 2007 second quarter. The company shipped 1,517,000 Macs and 10,549,000 iPods during the quarter, representing 36 percent growth in Macs and 24 percent growth in iPods over the year-ago quarter. more

I'm still kicking myself for that sale at the equivalent of $36 (Nov 05?). Sure, I made a killing, but I wish I could have sold for 2.5x as much. No adviser to blame for that one but myself. Ah... those were the days of huge stock drops on just a hint of bad news. Now, not even major news like the stock option scandal can have much of an effect on the new Wall Street darling.

I didn't buy mine until it was around $67 per share. I went into it as a disposable investment, so I'm just enjoying the ride. I just wish I had followed my instincts and bought it when it was in the teens.

The interesting think is that the Mac grown was bigger than the iPod one.

Well, its up to $102.50 in after hours trading now. Weird new trend from apple stock. It use to go way up prior to earnings releases, then plumet 5%-8% after reporting. Lately it has been going up prior, but staying up, even gaining after announcement.
