I was wondering if I should get security software for my Mac. I currently do not have one, but on my Windows I have installed Norton 360. Does a Mac need a firewall other than the default one built in, and does it need an anti-virus/anti-spyware suite?

No, but I do recommend getting a router if you don't have one already.

-Hi,
Not adding much to -d00d's post. But if you have your Mac and PC setup with a router via LAN you should be fine.

the only security issue is people will steal a Mac given half a chance.

Alright, thanks guys... I'm thinking that my 2Wire one that came with AT&T DSL will pass as a router?
