Hi everyone,
I've encountered a problem so was hoping to get some insights from the experts in here.
I've just got a PDF (CS2) which I opened using CS, the problem that occur was that the fonts was changed. They just suddenly turned a slight italic.
anyone one knows what is the problem and how can i solve it?
Would really appreciate the help!

PDF isn't really a "CS2" format, as you suggest. Some of the "CS2" file formats, like an Illustrator or InDesign CS2 file format--these file formats have support for PDF-based workflow integration, but they're not straight-out PDF files....these CS2 files are Illustrator CS2 files or InDesign CS2 files with PDF information contained within.
So if you were given a PDF, it's not a CS2 file, it's a PDF. And PDF's are generally edited with Acrobat Professional. Some PDF files can be opened and edited with Illustrator and/or InDesign, but it depends on how they were made and with what software.
As to why opening a PDF with a CS app would give different fonts displayed than when opening with a CS2 app...
I'd make sure first that the font in question is actually activated (as with Suitcase or FontAgent Pro) or loaded into /Library/Fonts or ~/Library/Fonts.
Also, which application specifically are you talking about? Illustrator?

So you "placed" a PDF into Indesign and the fonts don't display correctly? Perhaps the fonts are not embedded and you don't have them active on your system. To check this go to Type/ Find Font, altho InDesign should have given a warning if the font was missing. Sometimes if you have a different version of the same font active strange things like what your seeing will happen as well. Mostly I see this with PDF's sent from Windows users who download cheap fonts from the web.
