My Ipod is jacked up. I have the infamous Sad Ipod icon and cannot manually force it into disk mode. Well that's sort of a lie because once in a blue moon I can but it doesn't stay in disk mode for very long. It also makes a very low humming noise, you almost have to have it pressed to your ear to hear it...but it definitely didn't make that noise before.
So my question is does anyone have any data/music recovery services they've used that they would recommend?

Don't you have copies of your music on your computer?
I really have no clue whether regular hard drive recovery companies are capable of doing work on such a small unit.
