I have two audiobooks on CD and I want to import them on my iPod Video. But when I put them in iTunes, iTunes puts then in the song section of iTunes and the the song section of my iPod Video, and then I can't listen to my music without a guy reading popping up on playlist every couple trackes. What should I do?

I've been using Audiobook Builder. It's working out great!
"Now theres Audiobook Builder, the easy way to quickly import your Audiobook CDs (or tracks that are already on your Mac), organize them and output one or two files that your iPod recognizes as actual Audiobooks. The results are automatically sent to a special playlist in iTunes, and when you sync with your iPod they appear right youd expect - in the Audiobooks section. No more wading through hundreds of confusing files on your iPod. No more wasted space. And no more losing your place - its saved automatically each time you listen to your favorite Audiobooks."
It does take some time to convert large files, but it's well worth the time. I just let it run overnight.
(I think I found it through a Macworld article.)

If you download audiobooks from the Apple Store, how much of a difference does Audiobook Builder make, especially in saving your place when the iPod goes to sleep on schedule?

Norm,
All the books I've gotten from the iTunes Store go directly to the audiobook folder. I don't use an iPod for listening to them, but I've been given to believe they will bookmark where you left off as they do in iTunes, though I have no knowledge of what happens when an iPod sleeps. I assume the audio will just pick up again upon wakening, the same as in iTunes.
Audiobook Builder is more for audio from a CD or downloaded elsewhere, or if you have a series on cassette that you've imported and would like to stitch together.
Sorry I can't be more specific; I'm sure someone around here will have a definitive answer for you.
