I need help fast to solve this mystery. While I was entering new names and emails into my AddressBook, the content mysteriously disappeared: all my groups and all the people. It's blank now.
I'm using OX 10.4.9 on an iMac, Intel Core Duo.
I've restarted but not sure what else to try. Thanks for fast help!

Look into your
~/User/Library/Application Support/Address Book folder.
You should see the actual database AddressBook.data and hopefully some other files like AddressBook.data.previous. One of the older databases may be the correct one.

So, if I find a file called AddressBook.data.previous, what do I do with it?
Sorry to be such dummy!

Quit Address Book.
Rename the AddressBook.data file to something like AddressBook.data.empty (!)
Rename the AddressBook.data.previous to AddressBook.data and launch Address Book.
Hope it works!
