Having made a Movie in iMovie 5.0.2 I then attempted to burn the movie to DVD. I have iDVD 5.0.1. However I received the following notice in iMovie.
This feature creates a duplicate of your project onto a CD or DVD ROM. It does not create a video DVD for playing in a DVD player.
How do I go about burning the project onto a DVD disc that can then be played in a DVD player?

Can you import the movie into IDVD and burn it there, or get yourself Toast Titanium 7 or 8?

Can't remember if iMovie 5 has the share menu.
If it does, go there and choose iDVD, the create the DVD interface and burn from there.
You have to export your movie into iDVD to get burn a DVD.
You can also export the movie to Quicktime, then open up iDVD and drag the movie into the template you like best.
