The latest public beta of Boot Camp contains support for MacBook Pro keyboard backlighting, Apple Remote pairing, updated graphics drivers and other changes. more

Presumably, this release extends the license (and function) to some time after Leopard's expected release. Haven't looked, as not currently using BootCamp.

Internal keyboard, trackpad and other hardware drivers are STILL BROKEN... Curiously, my bluetooth keyboard and mouse work okay.
Works fine within Parallels, tho.

If your installing it for the first time, yes you have to install Windows by following the full procedure which Apple has posted.
